CPD tracking features

Tracking CPD on a spreadsheet works until it doesn't — and when it fails, it tends to fail at the worst moment: when an agent's licence is due for renewal and their record is incomplete. REA Hub gives you a real-time, structured view of CPD compliance across your entire office.

Per-agent CPD tracking

Track each agent's CPD hours individually against their state-specific annual requirement. Hours are logged with activity details, provider, and completion date.

State-specific requirements

Set the correct CPD requirement per agent based on their licence jurisdiction — NSW, VIC, QLD, WA, SA, TAS, ACT, or NT — and track against it automatically.

Automated renewal reminders

Set alert windows and receive automated reminders when an agent is approaching their renewal deadline with incomplete CPD. No more last-minute scrambles.

CPD certificate storage

Upload and attach CPD completion certificates to each agent's record. All evidence is stored, searchable, and available for regulator audit within seconds.

Compulsory vs elective tracking

For states with compulsory and elective CPD categories (including NSW), REA Hub tracks both categories separately so agents meet the full requirement.

Office-wide CPD dashboard

A single view showing every agent's CPD progress — hours completed, hours remaining, and days to renewal deadline — across the whole office.

Real estate CPD tracking — frequently asked questions

What are the CPD requirements for real estate agents in Australia?

CPD requirements vary by state. NSW agents must complete 12 hours per year (9 compulsory, 3 elective). VIC agents must complete CPD under Consumer Affairs Victoria guidelines. QLD agents have annual CPD obligations set by the Office of Fair Trading. SA, WA, TAS, ACT, and NT each have their own requirements. REA Hub tracks requirements by state for each agent in your office.

Who is responsible for ensuring agents complete CPD?

Ultimately, each individual agent is responsible for completing their own CPD. However, the licensee-in-charge is responsible for ensuring that everyone carrying out licensed functions in their agency holds a current licence — which in most states requires up-to-date CPD as a condition of renewal. A licensee-in-charge who ignores staff CPD failures can face disciplinary action.

What records must be kept for CPD compliance?

Agents should retain certificates of completion for each CPD activity, along with records of the activity provider, topic, hours completed, and date. In the event of a CPD audit by a state regulator, agents are required to produce evidence of completion for each hour claimed. REA Hub stores all CPD records in a structured, searchable format per agent.

Can regulators audit CPD records?

Yes. State regulators — including NSW Fair Trading, Consumer Affairs Victoria, and the Queensland Office of Fair Trading — have the power to audit CPD records. Selected licence holders may be required to demonstrate that they completed their claimed CPD hours with valid evidence. REA Hub ensures records are always audit-ready.

How does REA Hub track CPD across multiple states?

REA Hub allows you to set the state-specific CPD requirement for each agent based on their licence jurisdiction. Each agent's completion record is tracked against their applicable requirement. Where an office has agents licensed in different states, REA Hub manages each agent's obligations independently.
